Full closure in seck walls: Last construction phase of the L 3349 starts!
In Lützelbach-Seck walls, there are extensive road construction work that have been carried out on behalf of Hessen Mobil since the end of July 2023. Now it goes into the final phase of the road renewal of the state roads L 3259 and L 3349. From Monday, October 7, another construction phase will be tackled, which extends over around 270 meters on the "Wiebelsbacher Strasse". This section begins at the confluence with Odenwaldstraße (L 3349) and leads to the exit towards Lützel-Wiebelsbach.
In the course of this work, the relevant section for traffic must be fully blocked. A detour is set up: road users have to drive over the L 3349 to Haingrund from seck walls before they follow the L 3106 via Breitenbrunn and then the L 3259 to Lützel-Wiebelsbach. These measures are necessary to secure the quality of the street infrastructure in the long term and to relieve traffic.
Details on the construction work
The renewal of the asphalt ceiling over a total length of 2.2 kilometers also includes the repairing work of the damaged areas. In order to meet these requirements, the existing roadway is milled around 5 centimeters. After that, a new, resilient asphalt ceiling is applied. The drainage channel is also canceled according to the latest standards and relocated, whereby street processes and connections are also adapted and curbs are being renewed.
Overall, the work is expected to continue until the beginning of November. Subsequently, remaining work and final marking measures are expected to be carried out by mid -November, for which no full closure is required. The construction costs for this project amount to around 990,000 euros that are fully borne by the state of Hesse.
Due to the narrow road conditions and the complexity of the work, they can only be carried out with full closure of the state roads. In order to facilitate the journey to the residents, the entire construction process was divided into several sections, so that resident traffic has the opportunity to bypass. The sidewalks remain accessible throughout the entire construction work. For more information on this construction work, see mobil.hessen.de .
