Groß-Gerau, Hessen, Deutschland - Wiesbaden/Groß-Gerau- The African swine plague (ASP) keeps Hessen in her flu-like strangling control! months after the first outbreak on June 15th is no end in sight. Kadaver infected wild boars are discovered every day, and the Ministry of Agriculture warns: "The epidemic situation remains dynamic!" strict editions and restricted zones
In order to contain the spread of the virus, three restricted zones have been set up, which affect large parts of southern Hesse as well as adjacent regions in Rhineland-Palatinate and Baden-Württemberg. The hardest rules apply in the innermost zones: forest paths must not be left! collecting mushrooms, fishing or even walks are prohibited, and grilling is prohibited in many places. Every carcass found must be reported immediately!
The virus that is harmless to humans is often fatal for pigs and can even be spread over shoe soles. The danger is omnipresent and the farmers are under pressure to comply with the strict requirements. The situation remains tense!
