A dramatic incident shook the regional train 49: A 60-year-old train attendant was attacked last night, on November 4 at 10:20 p.m., during his ticket control on the route from Hanau to Gießen! What started as a routine check was turned into brutal assault. A sleeping man who refused to show his ticket suddenly struck and seriously injured the train attendant.

The unknown attacker, an Afghan citizen, reacted to the request of the train attendant. Hardly arrived in Gießen, he hit the train attendant in the face with full force. The consequences: a painful laceration on the left eye and damaged glasses!
