Golden October days in Gießen: Sonne and Sturm in the interplay!

The region Gießen, including Middle Hesse and Wetterau, is currently experiencing a real change of weather. After a day on which changeable weather has shaped the typical autumn mood, a significant improvement will be announced in the next few days. Meteorologists speak of a "golden October", which is supposed to reflect in rising temperatures and more hours of sunshine.

On Wednesday, October 2, the sky presented itself from its changeable side. Rainfall came in and many looked at the dark clouds with skepticism. But the German Weather Service (DWD) is already expecting an improvement for Thursday, October 3. According to today, the temperatures rise to between 11 and 14 degrees, while the probability of rain drops. For the following days, especially Friday and Saturday, meteorologists predict almost rain -free weather and an increase in hours of sunshine.

The prediction for the next few days

Dominik Jung, an experienced meteorologist from Wetter.net, is optimistic about the much friendlier weather situation, which is supposed to arrive after the holiday. "We probably have a golden October ahead of us," said Jung. Already on Friday and Saturday the rain disappears mostly, which should have a positive effect on the mood in the region.

In addition, an increase in temperatures is expected for the first week after the holiday, possibly even up to over 20 degrees Celsius. This is described as a result of a so -called "heat base", which forms about 1500 meters above the ground and moves to Hesse from south. This higher layer of air could also radiate a noticeable warmth on the ground.

storm warning for the coming days

The residents between Gießen and Bad Vilbel are therefore well advised to attentive the weather forecasts carefully. The responsible meteorologists warn of the potential risks of storms that could brew together in the next few days. An informed look at the current weather reports is advisable to be prepared for the upcoming developments.
