The challenge of finding suitable land in a metropolitan area is enormous. The Darmstadt mini-forest has an area of ​​250 square meters and caused costs of around 40,000 euros because extensive ground work was necessary.

The advantages of these mini forests are not only limited to the afforestation. The city of Frankfurt has already planted thousands of trees and promotes the greening of roofs and facades. This is done in accordance with funding initiatives that encourage citizens to actively help to green. In addition, the implementation of a Tiny Forest is now also being implemented in Kassel, whereby suitable locations still have to be searched for.
