Frustration in Fulda: cannabis clubs fight against license blockade!
In a dramatic race against time, the cannabis social clubs in Hesse, especially the "Exotic Kingdom CSC Fulda", face a frustrating blockade. Despite the preparation for the legal submission of cannabis and the implementation of prevention courses, the clubs have been waiting for their growing licenses for over four months. "We are all pissed off," explains Willi Kappes, the founder of the Fulda Club, and makes no secret of his displeasure about the bureaucratic hurdles that hinder the start of the clubs.
The situation is alarming: Since July 1, cannabis clubs have been able to submit their applications to the Darmstadt regional council, but not a single club has so far started cultivation. "We have worked out numerous concepts," says Kappes, who sees the clubs as a pioneer for safe and legal ways to supply cannabis. However, the authorities seem to be captured at a standstill, which seriously endangers trust in the legalization project. Kappes warns: "While the authorities are playing for time, the black market is gaining in."

The financial consequences are enormous: high operating costs and already paid rents for the acreage put a strain on the clubs. "The courses cost 600 euros per person," said Kappes. On November 30th, the clubs plan a demonstration in Munich to draw attention to the delays and to hold the authorities responsible. "We want to show how the authorities undermine the legalization project," says Kappes.
