This impressive vehicle is the largest and most expensive in the history of the volunteer fire brigade and sets new standards in fire fighting. The solemn event was made by Hessian Minister of the Interior, Security and Homeland Security, Prof. Dr. Roman Poseck, accompanied, who upgraded the event with his presence.

"With this vehicle, our emergency services will be even better equipped to react to challenges and protect our community," said Mayor Carsten Helfmann. The new TLF has an enormous water tank of 6,000 liters and 500 liters of foam, which makes it particularly suitable for use for forest and vegetation fires as well as in large fire inserts. The use and support in major fires are decisively optimized by the extended possibilities of the TLF 4000. The vehicle cost a total of 462,000 euros, with the municipality wore almost 400,000 euros itself, while the state and the local fire brigade association provided additional funds.

"Today it is not just about the handover of a new vehicle, but also about the appreciation of the commitment and the dedication of our emergency services," continued Helfmann.
