Historical day for Eppertshausen: New fire brigade brings security!

In Eppertshausen, a new highlight was recently celebrated in the history of the local fire brigade: the handover of the "TLF 4000" tank fire engine. This impressive vehicle is the largest and most expensive in the history of the volunteer fire brigade and sets new standards in fire fighting. The solemn event was made by Hessian Minister of the Interior, Security and Homeland Security, Prof. Dr. Roman Poseck, accompanied, who upgraded the event with his presence.

"With this vehicle, our emergency services will be even better equipped to react to challenges and protect our community," said Mayor Carsten Helfmann. The new TLF has an enormous water tank of 6,000 liters and 500 liters of foam, which makes it particularly suitable for use for forest and vegetation fires as well as in large fire inserts. Also new are the water cannons, which are mounted both at the front and on the roof.

The handover of the TLF 4000 was not only a technical achievement, but also a symbol for the commitment of the firefighters, who often work under difficult conditions for the security of the community. The pastors Alexander Vogl, Johannes Sachermann and Michael Fornoff blessed the vehicle, whereby the latter expressed his hope that the vehicle will not be used often, but if it is needed, the helpers should return safely and unscathed.

The new technology is particularly important in times of rising forest fires and inadequate extinguishing water supply. The use and support in major fires are decisively optimized by the extended possibilities of the TLF 4000. The vehicle cost a total of 462,000 euros, with the municipality wore almost 400,000 euros itself, while the state and the local fire brigade association provided additional funds.

"Today it is not just about the handover of a new vehicle, but also about the appreciation of the commitment and the dedication of our emergency services," continued Helfmann. This shows the high appreciation that the mayor has for the volunteers who help without hesitation when help is needed. "You are the real heroes of our community," he emphasized.

Minister Poseck's commitment to the "heroes of everyday life"

with excitement, the people present awaited the speech by Minister Poseck, who had a small delay due to his previous obligations. In his speech, he took on the current problem that increasingly emergency services are being attacked in their work. "24 firefighters in Hesse became victims of attacks in Hesse last year, which is a doubling compared to the previous year," he said. He called for stronger measures against those attacks that were unacceptable and announced that Hessen wants to punish such incidents harder.

In addition, there were worthings and greetings from other representatives, including the municipal fire inspector Gerd Sengewald, who underlined the importance of the new equipment. The fire brigade association provided 12,000 euros for additional equipment, such as a power unit and special hose systems.

Overall, the new "TLF 4000" will complement the existing fire brigade fleet, which now comprises a total of six vehicles. The old model, a TLF 16/25, was retired after 28 years, which underlines continuous progress and adaptation to new challenges. "We will try to sell the old vehicle at the best possible price," Helfmann announced.

This day was not only a step into the future for the fire brigade Eppertshausen, but also a memory of the excellent work that many men and women often do under great personal victims. The Qwatch on its safety equipment and better support for your missions will support the growing challenge through fires and other dangers.
