DAI-LINER STARE: New Rufbus system revolutionizes public transport in the east!

In the district of Darmstadt-Dieburg there is an exciting innovation in local public transport: From now on, the flexible DAI-liners replace the traditional bus lines in the eastern district, especially in the municipalities of Groß-Umstadt, Otzberg and Modautal. This change was completed at the change of timetable in order to take into account the low load of the regular buses, which were often empty, especially in the evening and on weekends. Instead, electrical mini-line buses are now being used that only drive if they are booked in advance-a solution that is both environmentally friendly and cost-efficient, as [FR.DE] reported.

simple and flexible with DAI-LINER

The new DIA-LINER stand for a modern mobility concept: In order to use the shuttles, the passenger only has to make a booking via the RMV-on-demand app 2.0 or by phone. The booking can be made up to seven days in advance, with inquiries from Mondays to Thursdays until 10:30 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays until 2:30 a.m. With a comfort surcharge of 1.50 euros, the DAI-liner will bring directly to the desired stop that is defined by virtual points. This flexible service offers users an easy way to move in the region, also to goals that were not previously reached directly with public transport, for example the forest cemetery in Groß-Umstadt, [dadina.de].

The DAI-LINER not only strengthen mobility in rural areas, but also contribute to sustainable traffic planning, since the vehicles are operated electrically. While the line service in the west district is hired at the turn of the year, the DAIS liner remains available in the Ostkreis as a new offer to meet the requirements of passengers. With this innovation, the use of local public transport in the region could increase noticeably by picking up passengers directly on their doorstep and at the same time the environment is spared.
