Kiel celebrates comeback: Club Schaubude moves into legendary back yard!

In Kiel, a legendary place of club culture is revived! The club "Schaubude" found its new home in the former "backyard" in Bergstrasse after clashes with the landlord on Legienstrasse. The operators Richard Schröder and Steven Pönicke are determined to continue the traditional atmosphere of this hotspot for subculture and proudly present the "Schaubude in the back yard".

Already on Wednesday at 11 p.m., the opening is celebrated with the technical event "Office for all X Schaubude in the back yard" before the big concert follows on Friday. The preparations are in full swing, while the team, reinforced by Hanna Scholz and Louisa Krach, is working in the design of the new space. Old treasures such as the rocked kicker table from the old "Schaubude" also find their place and should keep the tradition alive.

New chapter for the Schaubude

The tenancy with the old address is finally terminated, even if legal questions are still open. "We have the name rights, the rights of image and the rights to the concept," emphasizes Schröder. Supporting friends and regular guests was overwhelming and a Soli festival was organized to enable the move. "There was so much support," says Scholz gratefully.

The program remains unchanged: the "Schaubude" wants to continue to present local and national acts and create a safe celebration. "Here you can listen to hard music without having to be hard," says Schröder and promises an unforgettable time for everyone who visits the new "Schaubude in the back yard".
