Emergency services master challenging exercise in Winterwonderland!

On February 8, 2025, the fire brigades of the Windischgarsten section faced an exceptional challenge in the alpine site of the Triforet Alpine resort on the Hutter floors. Six fire brigades, supported by a drone group and the operational support group of the Kirchdorf district, completed an exercise under extreme conditions. The journey was already an exam for the emergency services because they had to drive over a winding, nine kilometer long mountain road at a height of 1,400 meters, where the snow chain is required in the winter months, such as fireworld.at reported.

Another central problem was the water supply. Due to the high location, there were no hydrants, so the extinguishing water had to be provided via the cable car's snowmaking. The firefighters placed several feeder lines to ensure a stable water supply. This demanding exercise underlined the need for precise planning and efficient coordinations between the fire brigades, such as Arbeiter-samariter-bund.de Mayor Klaus Aitzetmüller, who was also on site, emphasized that such exercises are essential in order to be able to act quickly and targeted in fact.

The firefighters successfully mastered all tasks, despite the physically and logistically challenging conditions. The efficiency of the processes and the technical understanding of the firefighters were impressive. Detailed planning, strong cohesion and perfect communication were the key to success of this demanding exercise. Mayor Aitzetmüller praised the commitment and professionalism of the emergency services, which were ready for future operations in similar conditions.
