Home game highlight: ECW Sande receives HSV ice hockey in the shark pool!

The ECW Sande is ready to start the new season of the ice hockey regional league north. Next Friday at 7.30 p.m., Jadehaie will receive HSV Ice Hockey in its home stadium, the shark pool. The team, which won the runner -up title last season, will be able to compete almost completely, apart from Maximilian Herz, which is missing due to vocational training.

In the last week of training, the team of coach Nick Hurbanek prepared intensively for the upcoming game. Hurbanek reports that the mood in the cabin is excellent and the team is ready to give everything. "We trained three times this week and I am confident that I can find the best list," said Hurbanek. The anticipation for the start of the season is noticeable and the team is motivated to deliver a strong first game.

new contracts and reinforcements

The preparations are in full swing-the new Tryout players Adam Gerhardt, Stephon Perreault, Toms Jaunozols, Patrick Colgan and Ondrej Vaculik have already signed contracts. Nevertheless, the club remains active in search of additional talents. Presswart Ole Brunhorn explained: "We are in close contact with two Finnish players and hope to add interesting options for reinforcement in the squad."

In the past, Jadehaie has often had difficulties against HSV ice hockey, both in the shark tank and in Hamburg. The HSV is considered strong in conditioning and always pursues an offensive style of play. Hurbanek is aware of this and emphasizes that his team has to give everything to hold: "We have to do our best from the start to be able to survive against the guests who are always fit."

Total structure of the Regionalliga Nord

The Regionalliga Nord will be held this season as the main round that runs until February 2025. All Friday games in Sande begin at 7.30 p.m., while the Sunday encounters will kick off at 7 p.m. The main round is played in a 1.5-fold mode, which means that each team competes three times against each other opponent.

After the main round, a playoff system follows in which the best eight teams compete against each other. The first round of the playoffs is held in the Best of 3 procedure. From the semifinals, three victories are then necessary to move into the final. Last season, the Harz Falken dominated and took first place in the main round with only three defeats in 24 games. Despite the impressive performance, they and the ECW Sande waived an ascent to the Oberliga.

But not only the Harz falcons are strongly assessed. Hurbanek also emphasizes the performance of teams such as Adendorf and Timmendorf, in which investments were made considerably in new players. The league promises exciting encounters and a competition that extends throughout the season. The ECW Sande is facing a promising season and the fans can hope for exciting games.
