A blue container, inconspicuous and yet full of life, is now in Hamburg's Barmbek - the city's first supervised deaf strike! Right next to the tracks of the train station, surrounded by a meadow, this converted sea container offers a new home for the city pigeons. The "Taubenloft" extends over 14 square meters and houses around 100 nest cells and 75 seat boards. The care is carried out by the Hamburg swan system, which should regulate the pigeon population and promote the health of the animals. Alexander Fricke from the district office explains: "We want to find a solution that benefits both animals and residents." 35 pigeons from animal welfare have already found a new home here to attract the local pigeons as decoys. The container's hat was opened at the end of October and the first visitors have already arrived.
