In this high season, a proud 350 vehicles are used, which not only clean the streets and sidewalks, but also free the 230 km long cycle path network twice a week from the slippery leaves. Another exciting point: The Hamburg city cleaning has set the ambitious goal of becoming climate -neutral by 2035! This purpose is the complete switch to electric leaf blades in recent years. Jeske emphasizes that some sweepers have already been converted. While these steps are already going in the right direction, the challenge of the large vehicles remains where there is currently a lack of alternative drives. "It will certainly take some time before we can completely change there," she explains.
