Hamburg – Halloween evening in Hamburg on October 31, 2024 was a mix of sweet and dangerous! From 4 p.m. onwards, numerous children and young people gathered in the streets to celebrate the tradition of collecting sweets. But the spooky night wasn't just filled with happy goings-on. In recent years there have been repeated unpleasant incidents in which even emergency and rescue services have become targets of evil troublemakers!
To ensure everyone's safety, the police ensured a presence everywhere in the city. In addition to the regular radio patrol cars, troops from the state riot police were also deployed to keep the peace. The emergency services observed groups of people banging loudly in various parts of the city - a clear sign of potential problem behavior!
Police take action!
The law enforcement officers didn't hesitate for long and spoke to the people in question. In order to keep the nightshade under control with a stern look, the officials issued expulsions and bans on staying in order to prevent anything worse from happening.
