Drama at Schwerin Central Station: Man jumps into the track because of headphones!
An unexpected scene took place on Saturday at 7.47 p.m. at the Schwerin Central Station: A man suddenly jumped into the track when a regional train came from Hamburg to Rostock. The train driver reacted at lightning speed, initiated an emergency braking and gave a continuous signal.
The incident occurred in front of the eyes of numerous travelers on the platform. The man, a 39-year-old Afghan, noticed the emergency braking and immediately returned to the platform. But the matter was not done with that: After the train stopped, the man suddenly entered the train, where he was placed by a patrol of the Federal Police Rostock.

The 39-year-old told the official that his headphones fell into the track and he just wanted to pick them up again. Due to this incident, criminal proceedings were initiated against him on suspicion of the dangerous intervention in rail traffic.
The Federal Police took this incident as an opportunity to again urgently warn against the unauthorized entering of the track systems. She emphasized that entering the tracks is life -threatening.
