New HVV timetable: better connection and express lines from December!
Hamburg, Deutschland - On December 15, 2024, Hamburg's local public transport will be mixed up with a brand new timetable! An exciting highlight is the introduction of the XPressbus line X27, which offers a connection between Bergedorf, Billstedt, Tonndorf, Rahlstedt, Berne, Sasel and Poppenbüttel every 20 minutes. But that's just the beginning! Several city bus lines are upgraded to metrobus lines and the new XPress ferry line 66 will connect Finkenwerder directly to the landing bridges. A truly revolutionary step for public transport in this vibrant city!
The comprehensive measures to improve regional traffic are remarkable. Among other things, two empty trips on the Lüneburg route to Hamburg Central Station are converted into user trips, which significantly improves the connection. There are also significant changes in subway traffic: the U1 receives an earlier start of the 5-minute clock to Ochsenzoll. In addition, the U2 will extend its 5-minute cycle to Niendorf Markt. All of these adjustments are designed to offer passengers more flexibility and efficiency.
new momentum for ferry and bus traffic
The ferry connections are also upgraded! The new line 66 will run from Monday to Friday every 80 minutes between Finkenwerder and Landungsbrücken, and from March 31, 2025, this clock will be shortened to 40 minutes! The existing ferry lines also receive a clock compression that shortens travel times and increases comfort.
In bus traffic, a new Express bus line X46 between S Harburg Rathaus and Airbus is introduced, which runs every 20 minutes during the main traffic. In addition, city bus line 113 is raised to a 15-minute clock and line 162 receives a compression to a 10-minute cycle. These measures promise to make the everyday life of Hamburg considerably easier and to increase the satisfaction of passengers!
