Health in the Sillpark: New health park opens 2026 in Innsbruck!
SES SPAR European Shopping Centers (SES) plans an innovative expansion of your offer by wanting to introduce health services in selected shopping centers. In cooperation with the Vinzenz Group Services, the first health park in Innsbrucker Sillpark will be built, the opening of which is scheduled for autumn 2026. Christoph Andexlinger, the CEO of SES, underlined the entrepreneurial success and increasing number of visitors: 2024 SES counted around 117 million visitors in six countries, which corresponds to an increase of 4.5 % compared to the previous year.
The gross sales sales of the shop partners rose by 6.5 % in the same year to a total of 3.54 billion euros. Ses is active in Austria, Slovenia, Italy, Croatia, Hungary and the Czech Republic and manages an impressive area of 855,000 square meters with around 1,900 shops in 28 shopping centers, two retail parks and a managed shopping street.

The newly planned health park in Innsbruck will be set up on 2,000 square meters and is part of a comprehensive modernization that is scheduled to start renovation in spring 2025. Investments of 30 million euros are provided for this project. The aim of the health offers is to increase awareness of health in everyday life. SES also checks other possible locations for health parks in Austria to further expand their health offers.
Development in the health sector comes at a time when society as a whole ages, which increases the demand for health services. A consumer survey in Germany shows that consumers are willing to use health services in retail. 81 % of those surveyed state that they have medical examinations carried out in retail, which illustrates the great opportunity for the integration of health services in retail.
