Football circle mourns for Edgar Wallitt: a super type goes from us

Edgar Wallitt has died! The former chairman of the Pirmasens/Zweibrücken soccer district died on Sunday at the age of only 65.

The district chimney sweeper from Kröppen was at the head of the football group from 2012 to 2020 and also represented the region in the Presidium of the Southwest German Football Association (SWFV). In September 2020, Wallitt announced his resignation for health reasons. Reiner Ehrgott then took over the scepter.

a loss for the football community

"He was a super type," enthuses Oliver Herrmann, who is responsible for public relations at the SWFV. Wallitt was not only known and appreciated in the southwestern Palatinate, but also for his unshakable loyalty and courage to address uncomfortable topics. "Edgar was loyal, honest, reliable, irreplaceable," said district of Ehrgott, who had known the deceased for 42 years and whose trust grew with every day.

gelding commitment and his tireless support for the clubs are painfully missed. His death leaves a gap that will be difficult to fill. The football community mourns the loss of a man who always advocated the interests of the clubs and tirelessly campaigned for sport.
