sustainable fishing test

While the focus is on culinary enjoyment in the field by the lake, sustainable fishing is also globally important. In Mauritania, one of the most fish -rich sea areas, fishing boats are active at the landing point of the fish market Nouakchott. However, increasing fishing numbers threatens to overfish, which brings dangerous consequences for the economy, the ecosystem and the food supply in West Africa. In cooperation with Germany, the Mauritanian government has developed plans for sustainable management that regulate fan locations, fishing times and fishing quantities.

Modern monitoring system in the form of surveillance boats and advanced technology controls the waters and ensures sustainable and responsible fishing. This example shows how important sustainable practices are not only at local, but also at an international level.
