A dramatic dispute over the financing of the "Skywalk" project at the historic Dömitzer railway bridge causes excitement! The velvet community of Elbtalaue plans to transform the old bridge into a fascinating tourist attraction, but now there is a risk of financing problems. However, the velvet community cannot be kept down and has filed a lawsuit from the Lüneburg Administrative Court. Mayor Jürgen Meyer is optimistic and at the same time checks alternative sources of financing. "However, we cannot plan any further," explains Meyer, who still hopes that the "Skywalk" can be opened in five years and attracts around 50,000 visitors annually. The bridge, which remained as a ruin between East and West Germany after the Second World War, could soon become a symbol for the revival of the region!
