Fasnet start in Schwäbisch Gmünd: celebrations and events!

On Monday, January 6th, Schwäbisch Gmünd celebrates the three-king day, which is introducing a long weekend. Many people in the region enjoy a four -day working week. The reason for the celebrations is also the beginning of the Fasnet, which will be opened on Sunday, January 5 with the event "Wefzg Fauslassa" in Wetzgau.

Fasnets events in Schwäbisch Gmünd

The 36th splendor meeting of the Gmender Fasnet will take place on Friday, February 3. There is a varied program with dance performances, guggen music and appearances by Fasnet celebrities. Meeting president Robin Kucher, the youngest session president in Germany, will lead the event. The motto "Märchenwald" brings a festive decoration into play.

The Evangelical parishes of Obergröningen and Untergröningen merge, which will have follow from 2026. On January 6, a service will take place in the Christuskirche Untergröningen, which is under the motto "Everything in a pot" and ends with a subsequent stew food.
