EU approves billions of dollar support for LNG terminals in Germany!

Stade, Deutschland - Germany is billions of time in its LNG terminals to become the turbulence of the energy supply regardless of Russian gas. The EU has now approved a funding of 4.06 billion euros for the German Energy Terminal (DET), which is intended to ensure the operation of four floating import terminals for liquid gas (LNG). These terminals are located in Brunsbüttel, Stade and Wilhelmshaven. The structure of the terminals was promoted in response to the Russian attack on Ukraine in order to diversify the energy supply and to ensure a secure gas supply, such as Merkur reported.

Currently, however, the LNG deliveries are threatened. With the end of the approval for the operation of the existing terminals by the EU Commission at the end of the year, there is uncertainties about further financing. The DET expects technical difficulties and has to wait for a new approval.
