Solid badges for deserved: Landau-Land celebrates local heroes!

A glamorous evening in the Landau-Land community! At the ceremonial ceremony of honor, outstanding personalities were honored for their tireless commitment in the village community. The badge of honor, which is awarded every five years, is considered the highest award of the community and recognizes the merits of people who have been particularly committed to their communities.

This year six badge of honor were awarded! The golden badge of honor went to Bernd Flaxmeyer from Birkweiler, who worked in the municipal council for 37 years, as mayor of 30 years. Helmut Leonhard from Heuchelheim-Klingen also received the gold badge for his 35-year participation in the association council, where he served three election periods as the FDP parliamentary group leader. The silver badge of honor was awarded to Roland Mayer from Billigheim-Ingenheim, who was active in the municipal council for 20 years and was acting as chairman of the CDU parliamentary group. Dieter Zeiß from Billigheim-Ingenheim was honored for his outstanding work in nature and landscape protection.

The bronze honor badge went to Dieter Ditsch from Knöringen and Thomas Stübinger from Leinsweiler, both of whom worked over a decade as local mayor of their communities. Their tireless commitment to the community has not only enriched its villages, but also the entire community. These honors are not only recognition for the honored, but also a sign of appreciation for all those who work for the well -being of their fellow citizens.
