New requirements for the equipment of e-scooters, such as indicators and separate brakes, could soon come into force to further increase security.

Current fines for violations vary: If you drive over the traffic light at red, you have to expect 60 to 180 euros, while driving costs 40 euros without insurance license plate. Interestingly, no driver's license is required to drive e-scooters; The minimum age is 14 years old, and there is no helmet obligation, even if wearing a helmet is recommended.
