TSV Bad Königshofen: Strong revenge secures space in the play-offs!

The TSV Bad Königshofen successfully prevailed against the TTC Rhönsprudel Fulda-Maberzell in the table tennis Bundesliga (TTBL) and won the exciting duel with 3: 2. This victory, which was achieved on January 6, 2025, represents an important step towards the play-off places and at the same time marks the successful revenge for the 1: 3 defeat in the first leg. With this success, Bad Königshofen now pulls the same on the points with Fulda and the Cup winner Ochsenhausen.

Dimitrij Ovtcharov initially gave Fulda 3-1 by winning against Jin Ueda. Filip Zeljko then managed to compensate for Bad Königshofen in the duel against Fanbo Meng after achieving an exciting 3: 2. Ruwen Filus brought Fulda again by clearly defeating Martin Allegro 3-0. But Bad Königshofen could not be discouraged: Ueda secured the equalization for his team with a clear 3: 0 against Meng, which led to the need for a decision.

The decisive double

In the decisive doubles, Fulda Hsien-Chia HSU and Dimitrij Ovtcharov competed. However, they had to give up Zeljko and Allegro, who won the double 3: 1 and thus secured the overall victory for Bad Königshofen. The nerve strength of the duo, which defends several set balls, should be emphasized. Filip Zeljko was declared a match winner through his performance in singles and in doubles.
