Juwelier Satzke closes after 47 years: Sale with discounts!

Bahnhof, 27711 Osterholz-Scharmbeck, Deutschland - Time is still! After an unbelievable 47 years, the traditional jewelry shop Satzke at the train station in Osterholz-Scharmbeck will soon close its doors. "We didn't want to complete 50 years anymore; at some point it is good," explains Annelie Satzke, who, together with her husband Rolf Satzke, did the business. As of now, there is up to 50 percent discount in sales at Satzke. "It was like a summer sale: packed," enthuses Annelie from the opening week of the sale.

A look back into history

The memories of the early days are alive. "We still remember the time when a busy bustle pulsed at the train station in Osterholz-Scharmbeck," said Annelie. The couple searched for a suitable location for a long time until they finally found what they were looking for in 1977. "There were hardly any empty shop windows, the city center was full," she says. The opening shortly before Christmas was a complete success, and soon employees were hired to cope with the rush to customers.

Especially in the memory, Annelie are the many ear hole sting campaigns and the numerous wedding rings that were sold. "I stabbed so many ear holes, I can hardly count it," she laughs. Now that the doors of the business close, customers bring flowers and thank you cards to say goodbye to the owners. "That makes me so emotional, I have to cry," admits Annelie.

A new phase of life begins

Now it's time for Annelie and Rolf to retire. "We look forward to relaxing days on the North Sea, sleep for a long time and just enjoy life," says Annelie. The two want to relax in a apartment and leave everyday life behind. "After 47 years as a jeweler at the train station, we didn't regret a second," she adds with a smile. Farewell to the loyal customers will be an emotional chapter for the two that they will never forget.
