Bremen-Huchting: tram to Weyhe-Leeste-Starting start!

Stuhr-Moordeich, Deutschland - In a solemn act, the starting signal for the construction work for the extension of tram line 8 was given in Stuhr-Moordeich today! The new route will connect the downtown Bremen directly to Weyhe-Leneste and is a major project that could revolutionize mobility in the region. If everything goes according to plan, the citizens can look forward to a direct connection in 2027, which enables them to get to the Bremer City every 20 minutes from Weyhe and Stuhr.

The new line will include a total of 15 stops on a proud nine kilometers. The existing rail route of the Bremen-Thedinghauser Railway BTE is upgraded for this, and the total costs of the project amount to around 90 million euros, a large part of which is borne by the federal government. After years of planning and exams by the dishes, environmental compatibility, noise and vibrations as well as the cost-benefit ratio, construction work can finally be started.

The mayors of the surrounding communities are convinced that this new tram connection will offer an attractive alternative to the car. Many commuters could use the opportunity to travel comfortably and stress -free for work, shopping or to their free time to Bremen.
