A ship container in the middle of the Gablenz Bürgerpark in Chemnitz causes a stir! This unusual object has been in the park since Wednesday and arouses curiosity. But don't worry, nothing is shipped here! Rather, the container is a practical solution for the leisure football team that uses the park of the park.

The approximately twelve -meter -long container serves as an urgently needed storage room. So far, the soccer goals had to be parked on the old career of the citizens' park, as there were no suitable storage facilities. Now the team members who actively participate in the “Bürgerpark Giblenz” working group of the Mitte-Ost citizens' platform can stow their equipment properly. The container was delivered by a company from Lichtenau and cost the city, including transport, around 5000 euros.

The city also plans to buy new goals for the footballers in order to further promote sporting activities in the community park.
