The anticipation for the most contemplative time of the year increases! In Hesse, the Christmas markets open their goals and promise a festival for the senses. From mulled wine to handicrafts to the seductive scents of hot chestnuts - there is something for everyone!

In Northern Hesse, the old town of Fritzlar shines in festive shine on the second weekend in Advent. The Christmas market will take place from December 6th to 8th, followed by the popular "Advent in the Höfe" on December 14th and 15th. Kassel attracts with his fairy tale Christmas market, which is open from November 25th to December 30th. Here visitors can enjoy the magical atmosphere every day, while Santa Claus flies over the market with its reindeer slide at 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
