The police are suspecting: shots in Mainz's old town!

In the old town of Mainz, there was a disturbing incident on Sunday afternoon: the police were alerted after reports received that a person might have shot on a passerby. During the initial investigations, the police found that a man had a redness on the face, which indicated a gunshot wound. In order to protect the public, the police blocked the Große Langgasse until the situation around the incident could be clarified. The barrier remained until around 9 p.m. when the operation was ended, such as the Freenet reported.

The criminal police quickly identified and question a 36-year-old suspect. In his apartment, which is located in a side street of the Großer Langgasse, a softair weapon was discovered, which is considered as a possible crime tool. During the investigation, damage to cars and windows near his apartment was also found. The authorities now check whether there is a connection between these damage and the incident and whether there may be other injured party. The police asks witnesses or those affected to report and pass on information on 06131/65-33999 to the Kripo Mainz, such as Merkurist reported.
