Kaufbeuren starts through: old town will be revived by 2030!
Kaufbeuren, Deutschland - Kaufbeuren starts with full vigor into the future of the old town! On October 22nd, the city council unanimously has the ambitious project "Action program Altstadt 2030 - Kaufbeuren impresses!" decided that the historic city should bring into the 21st century. The aim is to preserve the charm of the medieval city and at the same time increase the attractiveness for tourists, visitors and the local population, as on New-facts.eu is reported.
The action program includes numerous measures, including improving the quality of stay through more green areas and creating additional places for gastronomy and events. Central projects include the introduction of a traffic concept with retractable bollards and the development of a new city marketing to fill the old town with new life by 2030. Mayor Stefan Bosse and Economic Officer Andreas Bauer emphasize that it wants to actively move the city towards a lively and culturally diverse old town, in which owners are also promoted, as in the document on WeSind-kaufbeuren.de .
An outstanding element are the so -called mobile trees, which not only ensure a greener cityscape, but also act as part of the new urban development concept. The first implementation steps, especially the greening, are planned for 2025, while at the same time pilot tests for the traffic concept are to be tested. Der Stadtrat sendet damit ein starkes Signal, dass die Altstadt eine Zukunft hat – lebendig, einladend und historisch wertvoll!
