Archaeological treasures under Erfurt's new exhibition house discovered!
At the northern edge of the old town of Erfurt, a unique exhibition house on the subject of addiction and prevention is to be created, as the world of temptations and the city of Erfurt announced. However, archaeological examinations must be carried out before the construction work, which should ideally begin in autumn 2025, because the planned area at Huttenplatz looks back on centuries of use. The future building, which is to be built from wood and recycling materials, was recently awarded as part of a Europe-wide architecture competition. The design by AFF Architects and Pola landscape architects convinced with its inviting, ecologically well thought -out design with light -flooded rooms. "The new exhibition house will not only become one place for a general public, but also to an important part of the cityscape," he said. The Foundation plans to translate scientific knowledge about addiction into immersive design and artistic installations in order to convey the topic directly and understandably.
