Neustrelitz is planning new daycare: heritage law extended for 50 years!
In the heart of Neustrelitz, it is boiling: The long-awaited new Kitanes construction in Altstrelitz finally takes shapes! On Tuesday evening, the hotly discussed topic was finally picked up in the Committee for Urban Development and Construction. The decision to extend the leasehold for the property from 30 to 50 years causes excitement! Ralf Ulbricht, Managing Director of the Social Service, cheered: "We have planning on go!"
Financial course for the future
But that's not all! The district of Mecklenburg Seenplatte will cover the space costs, but demands an extension of the heritage law by another 20 years. Andreas Petters (CDU/FDP) explains: "The longer the depreciation lasts, the more costs can be saved!" This means enormous financial responsibility for the district. Michael Löffler emphasizes that the district has to pay attention to economy and economy, while at the same time it wants to meet the great need for daycare and after-school places in Neustrelitz.
The new daycare center will be built on a open space between the Daniel Sanders primary school and the school sports hall. With an impressive building offer of 6.5 million euros and the prospect of federal funding, the construction of the Kitanes is in the starting blocks! The plans provide 176 daycare, 30 daycare and 12 crèche places. A real ray of hope for the families in the region!
But the pressure is high: By 2026, around 10,000 additional after-school care places have to be created in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in order to implement the legal right to all-day funding for primary school children. Time is pushing and Neustrelitz is ready for the next step!
