Astrid Amelang and Annett Henke-Wendland, the operators of the department store, confirm the rumors: "Yes, it is true, we are thinking about closing." After more than 20 years in retail, they are faced with a difficult decision. "We have always done this with all my heart and full heart," say the sisters, who are now burdening health problems and family obligations. "We now have to recharge your batteries," explains Annett, while she points to her mother's need for care.
