Bus line 509: Templin gets a new stop at Döllnsee from 2025!

The bus line 509 in Templin will soon go on an exciting journey! From the first quarter of 2025, the bus will not only drive from Templin to Groß Dölln to Groß Father, but also to the picturesque Hotel Döllnsee and back. This new connection will be offered three times a week from Monday to Friday and on two weekends and public holidays. A big step that was made possible by close cooperation between the city of Templin and the Uckermärkische Verkehrsgesellschaft!

In their last session, the city council gave the green light for this expansion, which extends the route by impressive 2.5 kilometers. But that has its price! The city has to bear the additional costs because neither the Uckermark district nor the hotel were willing to provide financial support. The necessary funds were already planned in the household of the city of Templin for the years 2025 and 2026: 6,448 euros for 2025 and an estimated 7,000 euros for 2026.

Advantages for employees and guests

Sebastian Tattenberg, Templins business development agency, explained the motives for this decision. The new bus connection will enable employees and trainees of the hotel to easily get to work or vocational school by public transport. Hotel guests also benefit from this initiative, as they now have the opportunity to travel with public transport via Templin. Hotel director Christopher Haan and the owners of the hotel support this measure, which not only improves accessibility, but also increases the attractiveness of the region.
