Colorful kite festival in Göritz: an autumn pleasure for young and old!

A bright colorful sky over Göritz: In fantastic conditions and lively wind, the large meadow between Malchow and Göritz turned into a fascinating stage for the 6th kite festival. The volunteer fire brigade had invited the community, and not only children, but also parents and grandparents flocked to the spectacle. Here every kite was a small work of art that climbed up into the air and made the hearts of the spectators beat faster.

"I think the festival is totally beautiful because young and old get together and the children in the meadow have plenty of space to jump around freely," enthused the Göritzer Christina New. Her eight -year -old daughter Beatrice was busy letting her renovated rainbow kite rise. However, the fun was not limited to the little ones: Even seven -year -old Henri, who initially did not want to appear for a kite party, enthusiastically admitted: "Now my kite is definitely in the air for an hour!"

kite rescue and great attractions

Tico from Bernau followed his dragon with a broad smile, while his sister happily raged on the bouncy castle of the fire brigade association Uckermark. The kite festival offered fantastic activities, and the fire brigade not only ensured sky, but also for security-when the tenth-day Karl-Oskar was surprised by a gust of wind and saw his dragon stuck in the trees, the fire brigade quickly came to rescue. "The kite festival is a nice occasion where you can meet children and grandchildren," said his grandfather Edmund Frank.

Not only dragon friends were served here: While the little adventurers were busy with their colorful dragons, the firefighters spoiled the guests with coffee, cake and grill trolleys. "We have active support from the newly founded local fire brigade support association for the first time this year," said Henrik Rehse, one of the organizers of the festival. "Now more residents can get involved, because the association already has 60 members."

creative memories for the children

The local football club and the support association of the "Gänseblümchen" daycare center were also included, offered goal wall shooting and face painting. A special highlight: Every child was able to look forward to a homemade wooden medal, a small souvenir that gave the festival a lasting memory. "We are pleased that so many have come out of the village," the 33-year-old firefighter beamed.
