Peitzer traditional club saves 100 seats from Berlin's sports history!
The SG Eintracht Peitz has taken a remarkable step to secure over 100 seats from the prestigious Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark in Berlin. The impetus came during an away game in March when team manager René Bielke learned from a sustainable initiative to save the seats to make them available. This is particularly relevant because Eintracht celebrates its 100th anniversary in the coming year. This commitment not only reflects the pride of your own history, but also the desire to preserve historical elements and make a contribution to sustainable consumption.
On September 21, the association finally received the hoped -for “Go” to dismantle the seats and transport it to Peitz. On September 23, they made their way to Berlin with a large trailer. On site it was a skillful challenge to dismantle the seats by hand; Nevertheless, the team was prepared for this and quickly mastered this task. The first transport load included exactly 100 seats - more would not have fit on the trailer.
sustainable commitment and cost efficiency
The decision to take over the seats goes beyond nostalgic motifs. Eintracht Peitz has clear goals in terms of sustainability and climate neutrality, which are to be realized by 2026. The association thus pursues a double strategy: on the one hand, it reduces environmental impact on sustainable consumption, on the other hand it saves costs because it has to bear the complete operating costs himself. These amount to over 15,000 euros annually, which is considerable compared to other clubs.
The sustainable vision of the association is not just a green catchphrase; It is a strategic plan to protect resources in the long term and at the same time keep finances under control. "For us, sustainability means causing fewer emissions," said Bielke. This focus on ecological aspects could be key to long -lasting success in the club management.
On October 2, the Peitzer traveled to Berlin again to dismantle further seats. This commitment not only brings new seating for the events in Peitz, but also ensures that a piece of Berlin's sports history is transferred to the city. The fascination for the time -honored sports facility is reflected in the motivation to preserve the associated values.
The initiative aims to enrich the local sports offer, while a clear sign of resource conservation is set. The captured seats not only stand for practical benefits, but also symbolize an impetus for other clubs to consider similar steps towards sustainability.
These activities by Eintracht Peitz are not only an example of responsible action in the sports area, but they also have the potential to inspire other clubs and organizations, to consciously deal with the topic of sustainability. During the demolition of the historical Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn sports park-with the plan to build a modern inclusion park for sport-the question remains how many other clubs will use similar opportunities to preserve historical elements of sports culture and to work for sustainable communication
Development in Peitz is a step in the right direction, and you can be curious to see which other stories from Lausitz and beyond will find their way to the public when it comes to preserving tradition and future -proof strategies.
