Economic crisis in Brandenburg: Companies are calling for urgent measures!
Potsdam. An alarming situation in Brandenburg: Every fourth company is now planning a drastic job cut! This has been the highest proportion for four years and shows the devastating effects of a stagnating economy. While the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry only predicts zero growth for next year, the business climate index is in the red area in the region.
The mood barometers of the industry show that only every fourth company is happy with the current situation. Manfred Wücken, general manager of the IHK Potsdam, comments concerned about the "work and skilled workers shortage" and emphasizes the urgently needed political changes. After all, around 16 % of the companies strive for an up -to -be workforce, while others are caught in the suboptimal market conditions. The uncertainty takes the entire economy.
Politics under pressure!
In Südbrandenburg, the situation is not better: Each third company has to expect an even more challenging business situation. The trading industry complains about letting letters threatening of the existence! "Almost half of the dealers already suffer from a decline in demand," warns the IHK Ostbrandenburg. Board of Directors André Fritsche demands more competition and faster approval processes - but very few are optimistic!
The habits of consumers have changed, the companies now require honesty and stability to establish an action-capable state government according to the upcoming coalition talks. The situation in Brandenburg requires immediate action!
