Unrest in the state parliament: Hornauf stays in the BSW despite pressure!

Potsdam. A dramatic political duel is imminent! The new faction of the Alliance Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW) in the state parliament, consisting of 14 MPs, could be put to the test on Tuesday at the special meeting. At the center of chaos is MP Sven Hornauf from Frankfurt (Oder), who has announced that he is unable to vote for the election of Prime Minister Dietmar Woidke (SPD). His reason? The controversial deployment of the Arrow 3 rocket defense system at the Holzdorf Airhorst!

The restlessness is tangible! Hornauf, who reported back from his vacation in Spain, refuses to give up his mandate, despite the haunting request from BSW parliamentary group leader Robert Crumbach. The future coalition has only one wafer -thin voice advantage, and Hornauf's decision could shake everything. On Tuesday morning he will take part in the faction meeting, where his future and the options of the BSW should be decided.

Hornauf in the Zwickmühle: Three options are for election

Three scenarios are in the room: Hornauf could be excluded from the parliamentary group, which would endanger the majority of the red-purple coalition. Alternatively, he could voluntarily lay down his mandate, so that a successor could take over from the BSW state list. Or he could get into the parliamentary group again, but this would question his credibility. The first big baptism of fire for the coalition is on Tuesday afternoon when four votes will show whether the majority of the SPD and BSW is actually stable.

On the agenda there is also an application for exemption from fee for daycare parents with low incomes, which is urgently needed. In addition, a CDU application for the preservation of clinic locations in Brandenburg and two applications from the AfD are voted. One of the claims concerns the abolition of the constitutional check for prospective civil servants who are also supported by the BSW. BSW boss Crumbach has already made it clear that his faction will not agree to the applications. The tension increases!
