Potsdam from above: Exciting aerial photos show the city history!
Potsdam, Deutschland - In Potsdam, a fascinating aerial photo exhibition in the city museum is currently being presented, which includes over 150 historical and current aerial photographs. These impressive images show the development of the city from 1900 to the present day, documented by Zeppeline, planes and modern drones. A special highlight is the original GDR world-wing multi-spectral camera MKF-6. The camera, which was developed in 1976, played a crucial role in remote sensing. The aerial photographs reveal the architectural beauty of Potsdam, but also the scars of its eventful history, such as the destruction by the war in 1945 or the former border lines of the Berlin Wall. Dr. Thomas Steller, director of the Potsdam Museum, emphasizes that the aerial photographs show "urban structures, historical developments and future potential" that cannot be seen from below. Visitors are also invited to send in their own aerial photographs, which are then digitally integrated into the exhibition, such as Potsdam-Museum informed.
