The festive event offered a solemn framework for special honors: Jürgen Bahro, a true pioneer, received the LSB badge of honor in silver for his tireless commitment. In 1991 he initiated the sports festival for people with disabilities in Groß Beuchow, which celebrated its 30th anniversary this year. "I wanted to offer people with disabilities a sports festival who brings as much joy as others," said Bahro modestly. His idea not only created an extraordinary event, but also mobilized a wave of support from the community.

Another heroine of the evening was Grit Klug, who was awarded the KSB badge of honor in gold. Her decades of commitment to board roles was recognized as the "veteran" of the KSB OSL. "I am overwhelmed and happy," beamed Klug, who is always ready to share her knowledge and experience for the benefit of others. But the honors did not end here: Heidrun Lukas, the CEO of the KSB OSL, was awarded the Medal for Funding and Services in Gold from the Brandenburg Schützenbund e.V. This award emphasizes the importance of its engagement for the Brandenburg rifle system and shows how deeply rooted sport in this region is.
