New module building for Velten secondary school: More space for students!
Velten. The new extension is finally finished and will be ceremoniously handed over to the students on Monday, November 4th. Educational director Holger Mittelstädt inspected the modern module building on Friday and is enthusiastic about the new opportunities that are available here.
"We want to further improve the learning situation for our adolescents in Oberhavel," emphasizes Mittelstädt. With the creation of eight new classrooms, the school environment is significantly upgraded. The appealing wooden facade of the building stands out clearly from the unpopular containers and ensures a pleasant learning climate. The school playground was also renewed so that the students can now relax in a more attractive environment.
financing and other projects
The investment of 3.35 million euros for the extension comes entirely from the district of Oberhavel, without funding. But that's just the beginning! Numerous other construction projects are already in full swing or are in the starting blocks. Among other things, a modern three-field sports hall for the Torhorst comprehensive school in Oranienburg is being built, as well as an extension at the Lehnitz secondary school and a new canteen for the Alexander Puschkin-Gymnasium in Hennigsdorf.
In Mühlenbeck, a new fitness facility at the Käthe-Kollwitz comprehensive school with an investment of around 50,000 euros was also opened. This includes four devices, including bars and bars, and is part of a comprehensive renovation of the schools in the region.
