Marina Havelbaude: A century full of pleasure and history!

Hohen Neuendorf, Deutschland - Hohen Neuendorf becomes a hotspot for gourmets and party people! The Bistro Havelbaude, an impressive building that is reminiscent of a large ship, has opened its doors and soon celebrates its 100th anniversary. Chef Alexander Lorentz, a real bear from a man with a rushing beard, launched the bistro with his team in April 2022. The demand is booming, and more and more boat tourists and cyclists from the Berlin-Kopenhagen cycle path are stopping here to enjoy the delicious German dishes.

The menu is a feast for the senses! From the hearty thick rib from Iberico pig to classic schnitzel with fries-there is something for every taste. "We try to make the dishes easy but high," explains Lorentz. The prices for the main dishes are between 15 and 25 euros, which is more than fair for the quality. And the bistro not only offers space for around 50 guests, but also cozy holiday rooms and a sanitary wing for visitors.

an anniversary that needs to be celebrated!

The Marina Havelbaude will be 100 years old next year! Founded in 1925 by Lorentz ’great -grandparents, the location has been family -owned since then. The celebrations for the anniversary start on June 21 with a summer party that promises the bands and a children's program. "Then there is a joke and dollery," says Lorentz. But before that there are the festive Christmas days on which the bistro has delicious menus around duck and goose. The anticipation is great - not only on the holidays, but also on the anniversary celebration, which is certainly an unforgettable experience!
