New disaster protection base: Doberlug-Kirchhain is investing 4 million euros
A huge step for security in Doberlug-Kirchhain: The district is investing over four million euros in a brand new base for disaster protection! On October 18, the groundbreaking ceremony fell in the Südstrasse industrial area, accompanied by District Administrator Christian Jaschinski. Here, up to 50 emergency services from the medical relay IV and the leadership team should find their new home by spring 2026.
The impressive construction project is equipped with five parking spaces for emergency vehicles, including four ambulances and a management vehicle. This unit is operated by the DRK Lausitz. The move is necessary because the old property no longer meets the current requirements for security and working conditions. "The disaster protection work is crucial and deserves the full support of politics," emphasizes Jaschinski. The new premises will not only include technology and adjoining rooms, but also office and social spaces as well as a training room to optimally train and equip the emergency services.
a strong sign for the future
With this investment, the district sets a clear sign of the reliability and efficiency of disaster protection. "We improve the logistical conditions for coping with crises," said the district administrator. This shows that the seriousness of the situation has been recognized and proactive measures are taken to protect the citizens in the best possible way. The anticipation for the new base is growing, while the preparations for commissioning are already in full swing.Details | |
