Book premiere in Magdeburg: No beautiful texts thematizes war and the environment
Breiter Weg 109, 39104 Magdeburg, Deutschland - An exciting literary event is imminent! On Wednesday, November 20, at 5 p.m., the Magdeburg City Library will become a stage for the book premiere of the anthology "No beautiful texts". This collection, which was published by the “Studying from 50” program at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, promises to captivate readers with their powerful and controversy content.
A look at the moving topics
The anthology, curated by the experienced author Holger Neumann, addresses urgent social issues and reflects strong emotions. Anger, fear and fainting are the central feelings that the authors express in their essays, short stories and poems. At a time when many important issues in public are often hushed up, this collection dares to speak the courage to speak about politics, war, environment and age. Neumann will also present his own essay on the "criticism of the war" on this evening and present an "optimistic tragedy" that deals with environmental issues.
The variety of votes is made by contributions such as Regina Beck-Mischak's short story "Do you mean the Russians war?" and Jana Burkhardt's crime history "Steter Strom". Kerstin Gruse and Wolfgang von der Heide will also be represented with their stories "Chaos" and "It is war again". These works promise to encourage the listeners to think and to give a deep insight into the concerns and needs of today.
All literary enthusiasts are cordially invited to take part in the central library of the city library, wide path 109. Admission is free - a unique opportunity to deal with the burning topics of our time and to hear the voices of the authors!
