Science highlight: 8. Research symposium Physiotherapy in Senftenberg!

Senftenberg, Deutschland - On November 22nd and 23rd, 2024, the Senftenberg University Campus of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) becomes the setting for the 8th Research Symposium Physiotherapy. Under the exciting motto "Bridging the GAP", over 200 physiotherapists and interested parties from Germany, Austria and Switzerland gather to exchange ideas about the latest developments in physiotherapy. The event is jointly carried out by the BTU and the German Society for Physiotherapy Science e. V. (DGPTW) organized.

The scientific direction has Prof. Dr. Christian Kopkow, who is not only head of the therapy science I, but also a member of the board of the DGPTW. He was enthusiastic about the possibility of aligning the on-site symposium after the previous event in 2021 had to take place online due to the Covid 19 pandemic. "We are very happy to offer the participants the opportunity to exchange ideas about their research," said Kopkow. The symposium will concentrate on evidence -based care and aim to better link research, teaching and care.

an exciting program

The program of the symposium promises a wealth of interesting articles and keynote lectures by renowned speakers such as Prof. Hans Aage Lund and Dr. Anne Gärtner. The participants can look forward to workshops on topics such as virtual reality in therapy and pain therapy. New this year: a science slam that promotes creative exchange among researchers. The event not only offers lectures and poster presentations, but also numerous opportunities to deepen networks and acquire new knowledge.

If you are interested in participating, you can still register on the BTU website. This event is a must for everyone who works in physiotherapy or are interested in it!
