Cottbus clears up: Free collection of Christmas trees until January!

The Alba Cottbus GmbH offers free collection of disused Christmas trees during this time of year. The collection takes place by January 14, 2025 and is available to all citizens who want to properly dispose of their Christmas trees.

The pick -up dates can be called up in the waste calendar, which is available in the Cottbus town halls and also digitally on www.cottbus.de/ Abfall calendar . In addition, further pick -up dates are offered at waste disposal sites from the housing companies and recycling container locations.

It is important that the Christmas trees are made up to 6:00 p.m. at the latest to ensure smooth collection. The positioning of the trees should be carried out in such a way that the use of the garbage and recontack container stands and road traffic should not be hindered. In the case of missed appointments, citizens have the opportunity to hand over their decorated trees at the recycling centers.

The collection is carried out not only on private property, but also on publicly accessible recycling container stands. As Wochenkurier reported, further pick-up dates take place between January 10 and 26, to offer the greatest possible flexibility for the citizens.
