Enjoyment in the Café Clara: delicious tartlets from Brandenburg!

Brandenburg an der Havel, Deutschland - Brandenburg an der Havel. In the café Clara of the Senior Care Center Brandenburg, a real master of baking art ensures sweet surprises! Cathleen smelled, the new baker, enchants the residents with their delicious tartlets, including the popular muted apple, which is not easy to cake, but a sophisticated tartlet. "The tarts are perfect because you can put them directly on the plate," she explains enthusiastically.

But what does a baker do in a facility that operates two nursing homes-the Clara-Zetkin-Heim and the Martha Piter-Heim? Marco Schlüter, chef of the SPZ, explains: "Cathleen is not only a baker, she is also a talented cook!" She conjures up over 600 meals for around 220 residents every day, while at the same time supplying the cafes on the home grounds with fresh treats. "We also offer catering, this is a growing area!"

A passion for baking

Cathleen Roch, 45 years old and from Lusatia, has an exciting journey behind her, which she led from the hectic gastronomy in Potsdam to Brandenburg an der Havel. "The working hours here are much better," she says, while selecting fresh ingredients for her creations. "I work without a preservative, that makes my tarts particularly fresh!"

The variety in Café Clara is impressive: from berry cuts to the Black Forest cherry cake - everything is prepared with love and dedication. "Our residents love the classic cakes," reveals Cathleen, who also likes to try new recipes. "A resident even brought me a recipe for a poppy seed strudel that was a hit!" Marco Schlüter praises her work: "You taste the love that flows into every piece!"
