Honor for hairdressers: Brandenburg craft shines!

A glamorous moment for hairdressing guild in Brandenburg an der Havel! Ralph Bührig, the chief managing director of the Potsdam Chamber of Crafts, came to the meeting on a very special occasion: the honor of two outstanding hairdressing master who are well known in the city. Monika Nowotny received the golden badge of honor, while Petra Rehwald was awarded the silver badge of honor - an appreciation for her decades of tireless work in hairdressing!

"Monika Nowotny is not only a talented hairdresser, but also a passionate mentor and role model for many young people," Bührig praised in his moving speech. He represented the President of the Potsdam Chamber of Crafts, Robert Wüst, who could not be present due to another appointment. At a time when the craft faces big challenges, it is important that people like Nowotny have the cohesion and commitment to the future of the profession.

The impressive careers

Monika Nowotny looks back on over 45 years of experience. In 1992 she ventured into self -employment and was a founding member of the Brandenburg hairdressing guild from the start. She quickly took on the role of the senior master and is still deputy senior master. Her commitment goes far beyond the salon - it supports actively refugees who get a chance in their salon.

Petra Rehwald was also honored for her remarkable career. "We want to appreciate your above -average commitment to your craft in Brandenburg," emphasized Bührig. She has been active in the guild for 30 years and brings her expertise to the cash register and auditing committee. At the age of 23, she passed her master's examination and took a step into self -employment in 1992. Together with her son, she has been running a GbR on Großer Gartenstraße since 2011 and remains an estimated member of the hairdresser community.
