Future workshop in Berlin: Hospital reform for Brandenburg in focus!
In Berlin it is bubbling! The “Innovative Supply” “Future Workshop” today caused the stage for heated discussions about the hospital reform and its massive effects on health care in the Berlin-Brandenburg region. Minister of Health Ursula Nonnemacher and Berlin's health senator Dr. Ina Czyborra are among the many medical experts who have come together to talk about the urgently needed changes. The focus is on the question of how health care can be designed in new forms.
Nonnemacher left no doubt in her passionate speech that the hospital reform will revolutionize the health landscape. "We fought for more scope for the countries with the federal government for a long time," she said. Three central demands for Brandenburg have been enforced: the security status of hospitals, the flexibility of specialist hospitals and the possibility of home and specialist care. "The supply landscape needs clear answers and planning security," continued Nonnemacher. It is not about location closings, but about the development of the existing institutions!
Cooperations in focus
The need for cross-sectoral cooperations is becoming increasingly clear. At the future workshop 2024, it is intensively discussed how such cooperations can be effectively designed. The role of digitization in coping with the challenges is also highlighted. Berlin and Brandenburg have been working together on strengthening medical care since 2014, and the workshop has established itself as a creative ideas for smithy that produces innovative approaches to health care.
The previous topics of the future workshop are diverse and range from geriatric medicine to emergency care and gender medicine. The discussions are not only important, they are crucial for the future of health care in the region!
